Samantha allowed herself to be blindfolded, as her "contact" took her to the "base." Of course, with her Waifly installed sense of directions, she was fairly sure of where they were going - but she didn't really see the point in letting him know that. He'd probably try to spin her around in circles, or something, judging by the clichés he'd already used, since she'd met him.
Still, she had to admit it was a bit of a relief when the blindfold finally came off. And the base seemed to actually be some fairly high tech stuff, filled with beeping computers, whirling doodads, and various other junk that most likely served no real purpose, but certainly made it look the part. As much as a basement renovated by a seventeen year old boy could, anyway - particularly with his mom calling down to ask if they wanted a plate of cookies, every ten minutes. Somehow, Samantha wasn't surprised.
